Research Process

Last week, we were assigned to choose a topic with our groups and create a proposal. We decided on the topic racial profiling and will be discussing what it is, why it is wrong, and ways to end it. I think it's an interesting topic, and when researching, I found the stories I read from people who have been racially profiled to be upsetting and sad. I feel like the class with be interested in what we have to say.

Is it the weekend yet?!

It's wednesday...thank God! I feel as if it really should be Friday...that's how long this week feels to me. Midterms have really been stressing me out, but I am trying to remain calm and do the best that I can.

This Thursday is my sister's high schools soccer sectional. They will play the first round, and if they win, they will move on to play Sat. morning. Being a former four year soccer player, I am very excited for the girls. It takes a lot of work and dedication to get to this point, and I have all confidence that they will do well! Until then, I will be going to school, working, and doing homework! I will also be tuning in to the rescue of the Chile miners. I am so happy and excited for them and their families that they are all safe and being rescued. I watched the first miner come up, and I felt myself take a deep breath in for him. Praying for them all to get up on land safely!

Until next week,

Morgan

Homecoming Week

This week was the 2010 BSU homecoming week. It was a lot of fun, but very stressful at times! With all the events going on, I really wanted to attend them. But I had to realize that I needed to get my school work done too. I did, however, go to air jam last night! The crowd was just awesome to be around, and the participants danced really well. Unfortunately, I have to work tonight from 4:00-9:30 and tomorrow morning 11:30-8:00pm. Missing the game is not too big of a deal to me, I am not a lover of college football. But the tailgating is something that's not fun to miss out on.
Another highlight of my week was my sister's soccer game Wednesday night. She is a senior at Yorktown High School and they played their hardest team. The game was incredible and the intensity was high. Yorktown ended up winning 2-0. The last goal game in the last 3 minutes! They move on to sectionals next week, and there, they will play their biggest rival, Muncie Central High School. So go BSU Cardinals, and YHS girls soccer! :)
